Boundless Creations Bookshop to Carry Award-Winning Epic Fantasy Series: The New Blood SagaWest Jordan, Uta. — W.D. Kilpack III, an award-winning fantasy author and native of West Jordan, has entered into an agreement with Boundless Creations Bookshop in Smithfield, Utah, to carry his internationally acclaimed epic-fantasy series, the New Blood Saga. To celebrate this partnership, a book-launch event will be held on Saturday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at Boundless Creations Bookshop, located at 884 S Main St, Smithfield, UT. The event will feature Kilpack’s latest release, Usurper’s Might: Book Six of New Blood, published on Amazon on March 30, 2026. This marks the sixth installment in the award-winning saga, which has earned 44 international book awards across its first five titles: Crown Prince, Order of Light, Demon Seed, Rilari, and Vengeance Borne. The series has been praised for its emotional depth, intricate world-building, and timeless themes of vengeance, destiny, and sacrifice. Usurper’s Might continues the saga’s sweeping narrative centered on Natharr, the Guardian of Maarihk; Nathan (Vikari), the crown prince of Maarihk; and Ellis the Elder, who has lived since the Gods walked. As the Usurper’s power spreads across the continents, the Rilari are scattered, each forced down a different path. The remaining Knights of Ril fight to preserve the last fragile remnants of peace, even as Natharr’s Sight foretells darkness drawing ever closer. Boundless Creations co-owner, Jon Irwin, said, "We feel like local authors really need a space to thrive. Local authors make some great literature and, sometimes, it's hard out there to get books on the shelves. We don't want that to be the case with our store." He continued, when he and co-owner Marissa Topham met Kilpack at the 2026 StoryCon convention, the "description of the New Blood Saga sounded like something we really wanted to make sure we shared with our community." The New Blood Saga will ultimately consist of eight books, with Dark Guard and Guardian completing the series. Kilpack said, “They’re all written and have gone through the bedtime-story stage, where I read them to my wife, but are still going through the editing stages.” In addition to the New Blood Saga, Kilpack has published the Native American science-fiction novella Pale Face — currently in movie development — and the first two books of the dystopian military sci-fi trilogy Battle Calm Cycle: Battle Calm and Battle Calm: Omega Message. These titles have earned nine additional awards, including Honorable Mention in L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future Contest, bringing Kilpack’s total to 53 international honors. “For as long as I can remember, I’ve been writing and telling stories,” Kilpack said. “Before I learned how to write, I would draw pictures of spaceships, then act out the battles, drawing in the laser blasts and explosions after erasing parts of the ships that were blown away by enemies. I’ve blown up the U.S.S. Enterprise 10,000 times.” Topham said, “We have a love for books and began collecting until our shelves were overflowing. We started small only doing vendor markets. Multiple people kept asking us if we had a store front. After a bit of discussion, we decided it was time to move to a physical location and merged the bookstore with Jon's art business. This created what we have now: an indie bookstore and creative space, Boundless Creations Bookshop.” About KilpackKilpack’s career spans more than 25 years as a communication professor, nationally recognized wrestling coach, and editor or publisher of 23 news and literary publications.
